If someone picks a protector or is under protection please allow the following:
Allow the protector to delete comments,
Allow them to Block a person from the protectee’s account but make it clear the protector invoked the block and allow there to be preset feed back given to the blocked:
🚩You where vulgar
🚩You made inappropriate comments
🚩You made comments that show red flags
🚩 You have been spoken to about or been seen crossing boundaries already on this site or in a community.
🚩You are a predator
- this will make it clear they are protected and they do not have to deal with these abusive behaviors.
Also, allow the protector to read inbox messages of the protectee and allow them to flag inbox messages as safe or red flags.
If designated red flags, you as a website can decide what happens to user and how they’re standing with this website will be effected.
These simple changes will change how people interact with each other on this platform overnight, empowering a more accepting and safer space on your website.
Now of course the protectee should get notices for all things the protector does and can at any time should be able to revoke the role to stop potential abuse or over stepping of this role.
And the role of the protector should be well negotiated as to what the protectee want to have controlled for them and what the role of protector should and should not be about. This is about what the protectee wants to better enjoy how they are treated on this site.
